KENYA WOMEN EDUCATION AND GENDER IN DEVELOPMENT FORUM

Kenya Women Education and Gender in Development Forum (KWEGDF) brings together thoughts, insights and divergent views of female luminaries from a cross the republic of Kenya who have shown extraordinary commitment towards defense for human rights as well as that of stakeholders and experts on issues relating to women’s’ rights to education, representation, equality and justice. It is also intended to enhance knowledge and understanding of economic and social inequalities in order to better respond to this complex development challenge by focusing on one of the most pressing development challenges of the world today, inequalities. In a world in which more people are being lifted out of poverty, extreme inequalities, both within and between countries, remain immense and urgent for many around the world.

This is an avenue for women Caucus legislatures and leaders to explore the challenges and strategies for ensuring women strength and overall contribution to the fight against inequalities as well as working under the framework of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and in particular SDG 10 on reducing inequalities within and among countries as well as SDG 4 on access to education by all for the best interest of the Kenyan Child.  Why it is important for the County Assembly Women Caucus to attend this forum:
